How we compare
This page explains where our prices come from and how we show them.
Where prices come from
We take prices from each provider's public pricing pages or from price data the provider publishes. Every price on the site shows the date it was last checked. Prices change often, and providers run promotions, so always confirm the price on the provider's site before you buy.
What the prices mean
- All prices are in US dollars (USD).
- Register is the price for the first year of a new domain. Renew is the yearly price after that. Transfer is the price to move an existing domain.
- For hosting, the first-period price and the renewal price are shown separately, because the renewal price is often much higher.
- Prices may not include taxes (such as VAT), ICANN fees or setup fees.
How tables are sorted
Price tables are sorted from the lowest price to the highest. The lowest price in each column is marked. We never sort or rank by the commission a provider pays us.
Which providers we list
We mainly list providers we have an affiliate partnership with, so our tables do not cover every provider on the market. A provider may be hidden while its prices are being updated.
Report a mistake
