Privacy policy

This policy explains what personal data DomainHostingBuy ("we", "us") collects when you use domainhostingbuy.com, why we collect it and what rights you have. We do not have user accounts and we do not sell personal data.

What we collect and why

  • Clicks on "Visit" links. When you click a link to a provider, we record which link was clicked, the time, the page you came from on our site and a one-way code made from your IP address and the date. We do not store your IP address itself, and the code changes every day, so it cannot be used to follow you over time. We use this to count clicks without counting the same visitor twice (legitimate interest: measuring how the site is used). We keep click records only as long as we need them for this reporting.
  • Messages you send us. If you email us or use a contact form, we use your name, email address and message to reply (legitimate interest, or steps before a contract you ask for). We keep messages only as long as needed to deal with them.
  • Server logs. Our hosting server keeps standard access logs (IP address, browser, pages requested, time) to keep the site secure and working (legitimate interest). These logs are kept for a short time.
  • Analytics (only with your consent). If you click "Accept" in the cookie notice, we use analytics tools such as Google Analytics to understand how visitors use the site. If you decline, these tools are not loaded.

Cookies

  • Necessary cookies keep the site working and secure (for example, a session cookie and a cookie that remembers your cookie choice). They do not need consent.
  • Analytics cookies are set only after you click "Accept". You can change your choice at any time with the "Cookie settings" link at the bottom of every page.
  • Provider cookies. When you leave our site through a "Visit" link, the provider or its affiliate network may set its own cookies to record that you came from us. Their privacy policies apply on their sites.

Who we share data with

We use service providers who process data for us: our web hosting provider and, only if you consent, analytics providers such as Google. Some of them may process data outside the UK or the European Economic Area; where that happens, it is covered by safeguards such as adequacy decisions or standard contractual clauses. We do not sell or rent personal data.

Your rights

Under the UK GDPR and the EU GDPR you have the right to access your personal data, to have it corrected or deleted, to restrict or object to its use, to data portability, and to withdraw consent at any time. To use these rights, write to hello@domainhostingbuy.com. Because we do not store IP addresses, we may not be able to link click records to you. You also have the right to complain to a data protection authority, such as the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) in the UK or the authority in your EU country.

Children

This site is not aimed at children and we do not knowingly collect their data.
